Dance Site 2: Stone Arch Bridge

Minnesota' beloved Stone Arch Bridge always affords such great views, and of course wonderful cinematographic shots. The dancer start separated, each on a different bridge or bank in this west-sided park, then step into the river together. The slackish water with its rotting vegetation flows in a small channel -- part of the tail race from the old NSP plant.

Dance Site 3: Raspberry Island

Raspberry Island lies in downtown St. Paul right underneath the Roberts Street bridge. The upriver tip of this island catches big logs and other trash. The downriver side, where we danced, has a beautiful sandy beach - a triangle swept by the two sides of the river meeting once again. Clear sparkling water.

Dance Site 4: Hastings Riverwalk

Hastings Riverwalk has such a beautiful sign, that we Photoshopped it for our poster this year. With the soaring arch of the orange upriver bridge, the site is capped down river by the old railroad bridge. The City of Hastings has created a park, that is part of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.
